Cleanse.
Cleansing is the first step in our healthy skin routine. If you are wearing makeup, you’ll want to use an oil cleanser first or our Make a Splash Micellar Moisturizing Toner. Then you can move on to one of our cleansing bars. In this video, Tamara will show you how to use our Tea Tree and Charcoal Beauty Bar.
Moisturize.
Our Make a Splash Micellar Moisturizing Toner does the heavy lifting and can function as a makeup remover, moisturizer, and toner. Simply dampen a cotton ball or reusable cleansing pad with the product and apply it gently to your skin in a circular motion. Leave on or splash some water on your face - the choice is yours. Glycerin, Vitamin B, argan oil, and rose essential oil will leave your skin moisturized and dewy.
As demonstrated in this video, if you use our toner in your nighttime routine, all you need to do in the morning is wash your face with water and you’ll be ready for the day.
Low waste swaps.
While we know that nothing is truly "zero-waste", these are some easy steps you can take to reduce the amount of waste produced by commonly used household items.
(1.) Coffee sock reusable coffee filter: I love it for our pour over coffee maker because it slows down the pour, extracting every bit of caffeine from the beans. I found it at @proteazerowaste (2.) Reusable dish sponge and scrubbing brush @proteazerowaste (3.) Floss by @bambooswitch from @keepitsimplehonolulu. Best floss ever! Strong and sturdy. (4) Merkur safety razor from @wcshaving: Single blade causes way less irritation than disposable razors. (5.) Bar soap from @unravelskincare : It's all I use! Works all over the body, gentle on skin and smells great. 6.) Swedish dish cloths made from cellulose, which is a plant fiber. Reusable and stands up to those hard-to-clean messes.
Clean slate.
This is a process video showing the making of the Clean Slate charcoal face cleansing soap. It is the updated version of the Come Clean beauty bar featuring Hawaiian Ohia Lehua honey, silk, Vitamin C, coconut milk, and a blemish-fighting blend of tea tree, rosemary, and lavender essential oils.
